System Integrator

Scope of Position:

Under the supervision of the Platform Group Lead, you will be performing various duties regarding system production support, system integration and configuration management.

Your main focus will be system assembly support for the Coradiant family of appliances. You will review production support documentation (BOM, Assembly instructions) and will enhance our testing procedures in order to optimize the overall production quality. You will also be involved in maintaining a production management system deployed in a multi-site environment.

You will also have system integration duties. You will code and unit test various components associated with our product platform and will participate in third party middleware and component evaluation. You will also be involved in optimizing our configuration management processes and procedures related to our products’ software images.

Specific duties:

• Support the electro-mechanical design by participating in reviewing BOMs and assembly instructions
• Take ownership of the production test system: enhance the test programs and the production management system
• Explore new system components to improve product performance and/or functionality of the Coradiant products
• Participate in the integration of the software platform: middleware, kernel, drivers, services and file systems. Enhance the logging and auto-diagnostics capabilities of the products
• Manage the build process: implement and maintain procedures, produce appropriate images, monitor updates and labeling
• Provide third level support for customers: diagnose problems and perform triage

The successful candidate will have:

• Degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
• 3 year relevant experience in an embedded product manufacturing environment, preferably appliances
• 5 year experience with Linux
• 6 months practical knowledge of a revision control system (tags, branch, configuration management practices)
• Excellent scripting skills in both Perl and bash
• Demonstrable troubleshooting skills: ability to parse logs, outputs of tools such as vmstat, iostat etc. in root cause analysis
• Capacity to read schematics and hardware specifications to develop drivers or testing tools.

• Experience programming in C
• Exposure to developing CGIs
