Web Designer/Integrator

Within a small group focusing on web design, you will contribute to the implementation of the web user interface of Coradiant’s award-winning product line for understanding the health of web systems. In collaboration with industry leading system engineers, software developers and senior web designer, you will turn functional specifications/web-designs into prototypes and production-ready client-side code that provide both a robust and feature-rich presentation layer for our products. Your experience with web technologies & standards, coupled with sound coding abilities, excellent understanding of usability concepts and artistic sense make your candidacy stand out.

Responsibilities:

• Perform integration of web design into HTML presentation layer
• Create various web-based prototypes
• Perform touch-ups on existing designs & graphical elements
• Work closely with Java developers to ensure technical integration and the meeting of requirements
• Ensure that creative intent and results are achieved at the highest level
• Leverage third-party presentation layer components / libraries where applicable
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility issue using sound unit testing strategies
• Work with the existing support team to provide third-level technical support for product-related issues

The successful candidate will have:

• 2+ years of web development experience
• Proficiency in hand coding of HTML/XHTML and Cascading Style Sheets
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript (experience with AJAX a plus)
• First-hand experience with different browsers and their idiosyncrasies
• Familiarity with Photoshop or similar graphics applications
• Ability to multi-task, follow technical specifications and respect tight deadlines
• Great problem solving skills, teamwork and strong attention to details
• A portfolio of web sites / applications that can be viewed on-line (or provided with your application)
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• A strong commitment to timelines and product deliverables
• The drive, enthusiasm and desire required in a highly dynamic work environment that must compete in a global
  technology market

Assets:

• Familiarity with JavaScript libraries such as Prototype, script.aculo.us, etc
• Familiarity with Flex & Source control systems
• Experience working with server side programming (JSP, Struts)
