Scope of Position:
The Sales Engineer will support our sales team in promoting and demonstrating our award-winning Real-User Monitoring products while assisting customers and partners in their evaluation and purchasing process. The Sales Engineer will also establish technical credibility with customers, evangelize and promote our products and provide excellent customer service by furnishing pre-sales support.
Responsibilities:
- Introduce Coradiant products as they apply to the customer’s unique needs by demonstrating the technical and business benefits.
- Work closely with our sales team and Coradiant customers to understand solution requirements, current technical environment, key business issues, and future technology requirements.
- Assist Sales Executives by providing technical sales support including conducting requirements analysis and proof of concept engagements.
- Travel to customer sites to assist sales executives by delivering technical and sales oriented presentations to technical staff and senior management.
- Mentor partner Engineers and develop their abilities to successfully present and install Coradiant products
- Regional travel is required.
Requirements:
- Software presales and industry experience is a must.
- Experience in the delivery of complex technical and sales oriented presentations.
- Demonstrated ability to define customer requirements and deliver results exceeding those requirements.
- Ability to diagram and explain complex, highly available multi-tiered network topologies.
- Strong understanding of the web networking stack from Ethernet and IP datagrams to TCP sessions and HTTP transactions.
- Familiarity with load-testing and traffic generation including hosted synthetic testing (Keynote, Gomez, ActiveWatch) and load generation (Mercury LoadRunner, Rational Robot, Empirix, SilkTest)
- Experience in enterprise and public data centers working with firewalls, load-balancers, switches, routers, reverse proxy caches and traffic shapers.
- Strong expertise with mission-critical, multi-tiered web applications such as those that run on WebSphere, WebLogic, Microsoft IIS, ATG Dynamo or Oracle 8i.
- A working knowledge of network monitoring and enterprise management platforms such as HP Open View, IBM Tivoli, BMC Patrol, Concord e-Health, Mercury Topaz and CA Unicenter.
- Ideal candidates will have prior experience relationship selling within the channels community.
